A Filipino domestic helper recently taken off her country's list of suspect SARS cases has died in the northern Phillipine province of Laguna.

One of her doctors has confirmed that she did not die from SARS.

Test results released last week show the patient was suffering from bacterial pneumonia. The patient was classified as a SARS suspect in early January after she developed a fever and pneumonia late last year.

Her husband and close to 40 of her contacts in Laguna were placed under quarantine until the SARS test results came back negative.
