SARS case in Guangdong confirmed

The suspected SARS case in south China's Guangdong Province has been confirmed as a diagnosed case, according to the Chinese Ministry of Health Monday.

Also on Monday, the Guangzhou Municipal Disease Prevention and Control Center has denied rumors that another suspected SARS case has been discovered in the city. The center said recent media reports of a second suspected SARS case in Guangzhou were "groundless".
