Saddam Hussein's wife and daughters, now in Jordan, are demanding he be tried by an international court and not a tribunal affiliated with the US-handpicked Iraqi Governing Council.

In an audio interview with al-Arabiya television, the eldest daughter Raghad, on behalf of her mother and two sisters, defended Saddam and vowed to bring lawyers from all over the world whatever it costs.

US officials have said Saddam will be given a fair and just trial, but how and when remain undecided.
