《神奇儿童英语》节目共40集，每集15分钟，内容包括讲故事、听歌曲、学字母和必要的复习。
在故事部分里，首先是背景介绍，让孩子初步了解小故事所涉及的背景知识、基本故事情节、故事的句型及其关键词等。
然后是引领示范部分，应用标准的美语读出小故事中的句子，借由生动的动画效果提示句中关键词，吸引孩子在看故事的过程中听英语，模仿着说英语、唱英语。
在孩子充分地听和模仿的基础上，利用鼓励的话语和音乐启发孩子张开嘴巴大声地讲神奇儿童英语里的故事，甚至用英语自己编故事。
神奇儿童英语节目还为孩子学字母精心安排了引人入胜的情节，并在每一集的结尾送孩子一碗神奇的字母汤，让孩子在最自然的语境中学习26个英文字母，奠定孩子说英语、读英语的坚实基础。为巩固小故事的学习效果，多数节目后都安排了必要的复习，让孩子充分感受到学习的成效及收获。

Z: Last time， we watched the beginning of the play， and also met some new friends.
C: 是的，有Manni 和Emma. And Emma’s uncle Charlie And what is happening today？
Z: Today， we will find out who Mannie’s girlfriend is， and we will follow Manni and Emma to see a live football match. And of course， we will learn more words related to football.
C: Sounds good. Let’s see the first part of today’s program.
Z:Ok，
In Mannie Room → Emma: Are these your parents？…→ Manni: I scored three goals with it in our Cup Final！
C:So ， now we know that Mannie’s girlfriend is from Italy.
Z:Yes. She is Italian and she is a model.
C:Model 意思是”模特”。所以Emma说‘She travels around then.’ travels around 就是说 “到处走，到各处旅行”的意思。
Z:And Emma sees some photos of Mannie’s family. Like most people， Westerners often bring some photos of their family with them， when they leave home for a period of time. And they often put them in their wallet.
C:Do you have any photos with you？
Z:No， I left them in my room. （Smile a bit） Never mind， Manni’s hobby is taking photos！
C:Hobby 的意思就是兴趣爱好。
Z:And what’s your hobby， Cui Song？
C:My hobby？ Oh dear！ You got me！ I have quite a few hobbies. Traveling， going to the movies， and I like taking photos too.
Z:Since Mannie likes football very much， he also brought his own football to Britain. What does Manni call his football？

C:WOW！解说员的话说得太快了，还有那么多足球术语，我们没必要每个字都听懂，只要懂个大概就够了。
Z:Let me explain some football terms for you：‘No breakthrough’ means they haven’t been able to score a goal.
C: No breakthrough， 没有突破的机会。
Z:‘cross the ball ’ means sending the ball across to the other side.
C:cross the ball. 就是“传中球”把球从边路传中。
Z:‘Braithwaite with a shot’ Btaithwaite is a footballer，he is trying to score a goal.
C:with a shot 是“射门”的意思 解说员大喊卡特，还说：Paul Carter comes close to the first goal of the game.Paul Carter大家得认识一下，他是我们这个故事的男二号，现在是伦敦流浪者队的主力，也是这场比赛的球星。
Z ：‘great save by the goal keeper’ means that the goal keeper blocks the ball from going in the goal.
C ：saved by the goal keeper 这就是“被守门员扑出”，goal 指的球门，keeper是管理员的意思；那么goal keeper就是守门员的意思。
Z ：And ‘there’s the half－whistle’. It means the referee blows the whistle to end the first half of the game.
C ：Whistle 口哨、哨子，there’s the half－whistle “半场哨声响起了。”上半场结束了。
Z：Wow！ We hope they can win. I think we’d better see this part again.
C：Good idea！
C：Zoe， Do you ever heard ‘the British League’ ？
Z：No，I know that we have the Primer League。We don`t have the British League。
C：the British League也是本片虚构出来的一个联赛。英格兰超级联赛简称“英超”共由18家俱乐部组成，目前最有名的是曼联、阿森纳、利物浦、切尔西等，（伦敦流浪者队只是本片虚构的一只球队。）
C：And when Mannie sees the match on TV， he is so excited he wants to go to the stadium to see the game； so he says to Emma.
z:How far is it to the London Rangers ground？’ and Emma answers: It’s about ten minutes in the car ？It’s about 10 minutes In the car means 10 minutes traveling by car .
C:如果是坐飞机去那里要一小时。我们可以说成‘It’s about one hour by air’ .
Z:Emma happily agrees to Mannie’s request. They decide to go to see the match. Meanwhile the match is still going on.
C:解说员还在继续解说： Thompson with the clearance。It’s lovely touch.
Z:Yes. ’clearance’ means that the defense kicks the ball away from their goal.
C:Clearance有清除障碍的意思，一个球员把球踢出了自己的禁区，扫清了障碍，所以解说员说：Thompson with the clearance。
Z:‘a lovely touch’ is a very skillful pass.
C:一个很好的传球。 建议删去（英语里常用lovely“可爱”这个词，表达“很好”“令人很满意的”。Lovely weather 好天气。）
Z : Here come LR again. Can Glasgow hold out？
C :解说员显然对LR很有信心，Glasgow 队不知道能不能Hold out意思是坚持住，不认输，不放弃.
Z:The commentator reckon Carter is a star player，so he said：Carter`s having an inspired game for LR。’
C:an inspired game “让人鼓舞的，振奋的比赛”。是卡特为LR带来了一场令人振奋的比赛， 身为球员的马尼太向往比赛的感觉了。
Z:let’s see this part again.

Z:Braithweite won it back for London Rangers。‘Win it back’ means take the ball back from the other side.抢过球
C:Carter maks a run ahead of him。Carter跑到对手的前面.
Z:What a turn！What a save！
C:多漂亮的转身！多好的一个救球！这些感叹句都是足球解说员们常说的惯口。我们听多了，也就容易懂了。
Z:Let`s watch it ，try to catch those words。

Z:Mannie is not sure about his future。We hope he will have a good luck，in the near future he can make a good turn or score a goal as Carter does！

Z:I think that maybe he will have a turning point someday。

Z:Help yourself to programs means you can take a booklet about the game.
C:Program 意思是我们看演出的时候在大厅里，买的节目单，介绍演出的剧情，剧院、编导、演员的情况。在这里是指介绍比赛、各个球队和球员情况的“节目单”。Help yourself to the programs 你自己拿节目单吧。Help yourself， 指的是，不用别人提供服务，自己来。这个说法在吃饭、家里来朋友的时候很常用。
Z:Emma asks Mannie if he knows all the players in the London Rangers. How does Mannie answer her？
C:I know Paul Carter， he is a hero of mine. Paul 是 Mannie 心目中的英雄，Hero ，英雄。

C:Hat－trick 帽子戏法，指的是一场比赛里，一个球员攻进3个球。据说在英国传统木球比赛中，如果一个投球手连续三次将球送进对方大门，或先后将对方三个击球手打出局外，他就会得到当地球会赠送的球王帽一顶。而运动员的精彩表演就被观众称为hat trick 帽子戏法。足球场上同样流行这个生动的成语，解说员也常常会用它称赞运动员的高超技术。这个就叫hat－trick. 看来今天Paul 发挥得非常出色。
Z:Of course. Let`s learn some football terms。It`s gone ahead for a corner means getting a corner kick.
C :得到一个发角球的机会， corner kick 是脚球的意思.

C :Upright 右上方，球打到了右上方的门柱上。太可惜了。
Z:Glasgow are in full retreat。It has to withdraw to its half of the pitch just for the purpose of defending.
C :Retreat 撤退，Glasgow不得不为了防守而全面撤退。
Z :So，can glasgow find the consolation goal？
C :the consolation goal安慰球，跟胜负无关
Z:“What an extraordinary day， for an extraordinary player.” Extraordinary means special， and exceptional. So this is a very special day for London Rangers， as well as for Paul Carter.
C:Extraordinary 就是特别，非凡的意思。 今天对London Rangers 来说是成功的一天，对Paul 来说也是非凡的一天。
